Terms of use

The short version, in plain English.

By using pocketfiling.com or the PocketFiling diff email service, you agree to the terms below. PocketFiling, Inc. is a Delaware corporation operating the service.

What the service is

PocketFiling reads public SEC filings posted on EDGAR (10-Ks and 10-Qs from companies you choose to watch) and sends you an email comparing each new filing to the prior one from the same company. It is a research tool. It is not a brokerage, an adviser, or a substitute for reading the filing yourself.

Not investment advice

Nothing in any PocketFiling email, page, or feature is investment advice or a recommendation to take any action with respect to any security. Summaries may be incomplete, delayed, or wrong. Always verify the underlying filing on EDGAR before making a decision. PocketFiling is not registered as an investment adviser.

Your account

Acceptable use

Don't try to break the service, scrape it at volume, resell access, or use it to harass others. We may suspend or close accounts that do.

Paid plans

Paid plans renew monthly until cancelled. We don't refund partial months, but if something goes meaningfully wrong, write to us and we'll do the right thing.

SEC content

The underlying filings are public documents from SEC EDGAR and are not owned by PocketFiling. The summaries and diffs we generate are owned by PocketFiling and licensed to you for personal or in-firm use while your account is active.

Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee that summaries are accurate, complete, or timely, and we don't guarantee uptime.

Limitation of liability

To the extent allowed by law, PocketFiling, Inc. is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.

Changes

If we change these terms in a way that materially affects you, we'll email anyone with an active account at least 14 days before the change takes effect.
